ABOUT THIS PHOTOGRAPH

A portrait from Dorothea Lange's documentation of the Great Depression. The Bosque Farms project was a piece of land in Valencia County acquired by the Federal Resettlement Administration that year to house Dust Bowl refugees. This portrait is one of many I did in my first year of learning the craft many years ago. I've learned a great deal since then, so I've remastered this photograph by cleaning it up and adjusting the colour and contrast to bring out the warmth of the photograph. – Jordan J. Lloyd
